Croatia’s HEP fails to secure premiums for its solar project at government auctions

Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) participated in auctions organized by the Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE) for subsidies but did not win. They are preparing to install their largest photovoltaic plant, SE Korlat. Private developers offered better prices for their projects. HEP won premiums for the small hydropower plant MHE Peruća. The Korlat PV facility will be next to HEP's first wind farm. The project will be financed with loans from EBRD and the European Investment Bank.
