Cypress Creek Renewables brings online 208MW solar-plus-storage plant in Texas

The Zier Solar + Storage project in Texas by Cypress Creek Renewables includes a 40MW/80MWh battery energy storage system. The project has been used by ERCOT to alleviate grid supply strain during peak demand. Financing was provided by Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale. Cypress Creek has 1GW of operational capacity in Texas and a pipeline of 6GW across 24 projects. Solar energy in Texas is setting records with quick-responding energy storage enhancing reliability.
