Czechia introduces first rules for agrivoltaics

Czechia's lower house of parliament passed an amendment to the law on agricultural land allowing the construction of agrivoltaic facilities without changing land designation or zoning plan. Farmers can still farm on their land with up to 10% used for agri-PV systems. The new regulations do not require a minimum agricultural yield. In 2023, Czechia installed 1 GW of new PV plants, totaling almost 3.5 GW output.
