Dandelion Energy has launched a new geothermal heat pump for residential heating and cooling, which complements rooftop solar. The system uses electricity to harvest renewable thermal energy efficiently. The ground loops circulate water and antifreeze, with a heat pump inside the house transferring heat. In winter, water is warmed in the loops by the earth, while in summer, heat is extracted and cooled. The company plans to introduce the product in the US and later in Canada.
