The Danish Energy Agency has adopted the plan for the up-to-1.2-GW Hesselo offshore wind farm project in waters north of the North Zealand peninsula with siting adjustments. The Hesselo project's tender process is underway, and bids will be accepted by April 1, 2025. The turbines are planned to be installed in Hesselo Bay, with subsea cables connecting to a high-voltage station at Hovegard. The project could be operational by the end of 2030.
