The Detroit City Council approved Lightstar Renewables' participation in the city's 'Solar Neighbourhood Plan'. The initiative aims to repurpose vacant lots for clean energy production. Mayor Duggan stated that it will make Detroit a national leader in fighting climate change. Lightstar plans to combine solar energy with agriculture and strengthen Detroit's food distribution systems.
