Dominican Republic greenlights 67.7-MW solar project with storage

The Dominican Republic's national energy commission (CNE) has awarded a 25-year concession to Santa Clara Energy Group SRL for a solar farm and energy storage facility project in Santo Domingo province. The project, named Photovoltaic Installation Santa Clara Energy Group, involves installing 67.7 MW/84 MWp solar capacity and a 20.03 MW and 80.12 MWh energy storage system. This initiative will enhance power stability and marks the construction of the first battery energy storage system in the region.
