The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is set to sign 1 GW of solar and wind energy deals in Romania, providing funding for projects in the energy sector. Mihaela Mihailescu, deputy director of the EBRD, highlighted the institution's renewed focus on energy investments to support Romania's efforts in combating climate change. The bank is looking into investments in storage and electrification, with a particular interest in energy transmission networks.
