EDF commissions 480MW Brazilian array

EDF Renewables has commissioned its largest wind farm in South America, the 480MW Serra do Seridó array in Brazil. The project contributes to the energy transition by providing sustainable energy equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of about 1.5m Brazilian households. The wind farm was developed in two phases, with part of its electricity sold through an auction organized by the Brazilian federal government in 2019.
