EDF team closes Abu Dhabi solar financing

EDF Renewables, Masdar, and Korea Western Power have achieved financial closing of the 1500MW Al Ajban solar project in Abu Dhabi. They signed a 30-year power purchase agreement with EWEC and will design, finance, build and operate the plant. Financing has been secured from various banks. Once fully commissioned in 2026, the plant will be one of the world's largest single-site solar power plants.
