EDPR unit snaps up 20-MW community PV portfolio in Illinois

EDPR NA Distributed Generation LLC has acquired a 20-MW portfolio of community solar projects in Illinois from developer Renewable Properties LLC. The acquired schemes are in the development stages and once commissioned, will add to EDPR NA’s existing portfolio of distributed generation plants in operation. The photovoltaic plants are expected to generate around 42 GWh of electricity annually, enough to cover the consumption of over 5,000 Illinois homes. EDPR NA also owns utility-scale PV parks and wind farms.
