Electrica: Distribution segment – revenues higher by 32%, group profit increases to 128 mln. lei

In the first quarter of 2024, the Electrica Group reported a significant increase in profit and revenue, driven by the distribution segment. The EBITDA reached 400.8 million lei, marking a 170% increase. Operating profit and net profit also saw substantial growth. CEO Alexandru Chiriță highlighted the strategic investments in the distribution area and emphasized the commitment to sustainability. The distribution segment experienced a notable revenue increase, mainly due to higher distribution tariffs set by ANRE order no. 115/2023.
