EliTe Solar to establish 8 GW solar manufacturing hub in Egypt

EliTe Solar, a global manufacturer of PV cells and modules, plans to establish a solar manufacturing hub in Egypt. The hub, located in the TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone near Suez, will have a production capacity of 8 GW. The first phase aims to complete 2 GW of solar cell production by September 2025, with projected annual sales exceeding $190 million. EliTe Solar Chairman Liu Jingqi emphasized the venture's importance in positioning Egypt as a pivotal hub for photovoltaic manufacturing in the Middle East and North Africa.
