Emil Boc: Cluj Municipality intends to build a hydrogen plant

The Municipality of Cluj plans to build a plant for hydrogen production from waste to fuel buses and heat the city. Mayor Emil Boc aims for a hydrogen project in collaboration with the Technical University for heating and waste management. Mirela Atanasiu from CHP emphasizes the need to shift to hydrogen ecosystems in Romania. A Toyota hydrogen bus is being tested in Cluj, supported by European funds, with free rides during the trial. The JIVE European programs promote hydrogen technology in Central and Eastern Europe, with Cluj hosting the hydrogen bus tour.
