Eneos Renewable Energy to retrofit BESS at solar PV plant with Japanese government support

Eneos Corporation closed its acquisition of Japan Renewable Energy Corporation (JRE), founded by Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Eneos Renewable Energy will add energy storage to a solar PV power plant in southern Japan with subsidies from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The project aims to retrofit a battery energy storage system at the JRE Fukuchi 3 Solar Power Plant in Fukuoka Prefecture. The system will be operated by Eneos Renewable Energy and Mitsubishi Research Institute utilizing the MERSOL control platform.
