Energy Ministry approved CfD tender, rules and forms

The Energy Ministry in Romania approved the initiation of the first tender for the State aid scheme in the form of contracts for the difference for the production of electricity from renewable sources of onshore wind and solar photovoltaic energy. The tender covers two procedures with specific capacities and strike prices. Successful applicants are required to provide both participation and performance guarantees. The evaluation process includes technical and financial stages. The duration of the operating aid is a maximum of 15 years. Power generators are obliged to market the energy production covered by the CfD contract only on organised electricity markets.
