Engie wraps up purchase of 80-MW Romanian wind farm

French energy major Engie SA has acquired an 80-MW wind project in southern Romania, doubling its wind farm generation capacity. The Chirnogeni wind farm in Dobrogea region's Constanta County has 32 Nordex turbines generating 180 GWh annually, meeting the demand of 90,000 homes. Engie aims to reach 1 GW renewable energy fleet by the end of the decade in Romania.
