Entergy Arkansas starts commercial operation of 100-MW solar farm

The 100-MW Walnut Bend Solar Energy Center in Lee County, Arkansas, has been placed into commercial operation. Invenergy led the development, engineering, and construction of the solar farm. Walnut Bend is the fourth solar farm for Entergy Arkansas in its home state, capable of powering 61,000 Arkansas homes. Entergy Arkansas plans to add two more solar farms and procure energy from Flat Fork and Forgeview under long-term power purchase agreements.
