ESMC publishes recommendation paper for Net Zero Industry Act

The ESMC published a recommendation paper on the implementation of the European Union’s Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA), emphasizing the importance of resilience, sustainability, and worker's rights in the solar energy supply chain. It proposed criteria for reshoring solar manufacturing to Europe and highlighted the risks associated with dependency on a single country for solar energy. Vincent Delporte from ESMC and Holosolis emphasized the need for sustainable European-made solar modules. The paper recommended unique barcodes for PV modules, implementation of a PV Passport, and addressed concerns about cyber and data security.
