EU needs a ‘revolution’ in energy grid investment

Worldwide investment in photovoltaics has reached 500 billion dollars, significantly outstripping other energy technologies. Europe needs a revolution in grid investments to enhance flexibility and storage capacities. To lower prices, hybrid wind-storage or solar-storage parks are crucial. Power Purchase Agreements, Contracts for Difference, and new business models are essential for encouraging investments in solar power.
