EU raises renewables target to 45% by 2030

The amended EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED III) has been approved, setting a new 45% share target for renewable energy in the EU's energy mix by 2030. The directive includes targets for wind power, PV systems, renewable energy in heating and transport sectors, and increasing green hydrogen consumption in the industry.
