EU set to dig into raw materials supply

The EU Critical Raw Materials Act aims to diversify the supply of strategic raw materials by setting benchmarks for domestic production capacities. It addresses the EU's dependency on external sources, especially China for heavy rare earth elements. The Act also focuses on faster permitting and recycling capacities. The Net Zero Industry Act complements the CRMA by setting targets for net-zero technologies and simplifying permitting processes. Both Acts aim to enhance Europe's production capabilities and security of supply.
