Eurasian Development Bank to finance 300 MW of solar in Kyrgyzstan

The Eurasian Development Bank and Bishkek Solar have signed an agreement to finance the construction of a 300 MW solar plant in Toru-Aigyr village, Kyrgyzstan. The project aims to advance the renewable energy sector, contributing to energy security and sustainable development goals. Denis Ilin, Senior Managing Director of Eurasian Development Bank, emphasized the importance of the project. The bank has been investing in renewable energy projects in Armenia and Kazakhstan. Last year, they also invested in a hydropower plant in Kulanak village, Kyrgyzstan.
