European Energy secures solar PPA from Danish State Railways

A new solar park, Lidsø Solar Park, is set to be built at Rødby Harbour in Lolland Municipality, Denmark. Danish State Railways (DSB) signed an agreement with European Energy to purchase 80 GWh of power from the park. The park will cover 253 hectares and is expected to produce 262 GWh annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of 65,000 households. DSB aims to reduce its climate impact by 98% by 2030. Eastern Denmark faces a shortage of renewable energy, with Lolland municipality leading in renewable capacity expansion.
