Europeans are now more worried about immigration than climate change – survey

Europeans are more concerned about immigration than climate change, while less than 15% of those interviewed worldwide think climate issues should be among the top three priorities for their governments. Many European countries have seen a rise in the share of people prioritizing reducing immigration. The focus on fighting climate change has decreased. The Danish think tank Alliance of Democracies Foundation conducted the study. Despite global perception of climate change as a significant challenge, few prioritize it for government action. Jaspers highlighted the importance of democratic countries addressing global challenges to maintain support for democracy.
