Fluence Energy and Excelsior Energy Capital have entered into a supply agreement for 2.2GWh of battery energy storage systems. Fluence's Gridstack Pro grid-scale BESS product will be used by Excelsior in US projects starting in 2025. The BESS will utilize domestically manufactured batteries, modules, and supporting systems with cells from Tennessee and modules from the Utah facility. Fluence and Excelsior claim the BESS will qualify for domestic content bonuses and the investment tax credit for downstream clean energy projects under the Inflation Reduction Act.
