Foresight Solar puts 170MW solar PV portfolio in Australia up for sale

Foresight Solar Fund, a UK-based investment group, confirmed the sale of its 170MW solar PV and 122MW battery energy storage systems (BESS) Australian portfolio to refocus on the UK and European markets. The closing of the sale is expected in the first half of 2025 to primarily pay down debt. This strategic move follows poor weather conditions affecting the Australian portfolio, leading to a decrease in net asset value. The company has plans to develop early-stage BESS projects in Spain and has existing solar PV projects in the Iberian Peninsula.
