Fortum has agreed to sell its 43.75% stake in its Indian solar portfolio to Gentari Renewables India. This includes four solar plants with a total capacity of 185MW. Other owners are also selling their shares in this divestment, rounding up the company's gradual exit initiated in 2018-2019. This move is part of Fortum's strategy to limit operations in India and focus on Nordic regions, with no new commitments in India planned post-transaction.
