FPPG: Geothermal energy – one of the most feasible resources of the green transition

Geothermal energy is considered one of the most feasible resources in the green transition. Closed-loop geothermal systems (CLGS) are highlighted as a solution for universalizing geothermal energy usage. Experts from the Oil and Gas Employers’ Federation (FPPG) discussed the advantages of closed-loop technology compared to conventional systems. Romania, among other European countries, shows potential for geothermal energy exploration. However, legislative changes, such as amending the Mining Law, are essential for harnessing this resource effectively.
