Researchers at Fraunhofer IPA have developed a scalable production process for solid-state batteries, addressing gaps in the market launch of this technology. The process involves sintering individual powders to create solid-state batteries with advantages like higher energy density and safety. The production also involves analysis of raw materials for solid electrolyte lithium aluminium titanium phosphate (LATP) and scaling up the manufacturing process to an industrial level.
