Researchers from Fraunhofer ISE have developed a perovskite silicon solar cell with a power conversion efficiency of 31.6%. The cell consists of a perovskite layer deposited on a silicon HJT solar cell using a hybrid manufacturing route. A special method is needed to apply the perovskite layer evenly on the textured silicon surface.
