Fronius to cut 350 jobs

Fronius plans to cut 350 jobs at its Sattledt production site due to the current solar crisis. The company had previously reduced working hours and temporary workers. Despite investing €420 million to expand production and hiring 2,000 new employees, the situation worsened in the first two quarters of 2024. Decreased PV system installations in Austria and Germany alongside dumping prices from Chinese manufacturers have attributed to the company's current problems.
