US energy storage solutions provider Torus has been contracted to supply nearly 26 MWh of its systems to serve some of Gardner Group’s commercial real estate assets. Torus will install its Torus Station technology that combines advanced battery and flywheel energy storage systems and a proprietary software platform. The installation works are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2024 and be completed by the first quarter of 2026. The energy storage systems will be manufactured at Torus' facility in South Salt Lake, Utah. The project will leverage Torus' participation in Rocky Mountain Power's Wattsmart Battery program. Gardner Group’s CEO Christian Gardner expressed the benefits of partnering with Torus in optimizing energy management, reducing carbon footprint, and providing enhanced value to tenants.
