Gas imports up by almost 6% in the first seven months

Romania imported 1.013 million tons of oil equivalent (toe) of natural gas in the first seven months of 2024, showing a 5.9% increase compared to the same period last year. Domestic production reached almost 4.426 million toe during the same period, with a 1.3% increase from January-July 2023. The National Strategy and Forecasting Commission predicts a 1.7% annual increase in natural gas production from 2024 to 2027.
