GCL Tech’s first overseas granular silicon project to land in the UAE

GCL Tech is set to build the Middle East’s first polysilicon plant in UAE in collaboration with Mubadala Investment Company, aiming to promote green energy industry upgrade and transformation. The company plans to focus on lower-carbon, lower-cost, and higher-quality granular silicon technology, leading China’s PV manufacturing industry to the high-end value chain overseas. UAE's National Energy Strategy Update targets a 30% share of clean energy in its total energy mix by 2030 with significant investment in renewable energy.
