Global Electronics Council releases new standard for ultra-low carbon PV panels

The Global Electronics Council (GEC) introduced the 'Criteria for the Assessment of Ultra-Low Carbon Modules' to encourage the production of low embodied carbon photovoltaic (PV) modules. The standards include low carbon and ultra-low carbon levels, with specific carbon footprint requirements. GEC also provided insights on the carbon intensity of power grids in different countries involved in solar panel production.
