Global Solar Council calls for adequate financing to meet energy transition targets

Global installed solar generation capacity has been growing exponentially. To achieve the COP28 target of tripling renewables by 2030, US$12 trillion is needed, with solar delivering half. Recommendations include increasing public and private funding, supporting multilateral investment, flexibility in energy systems, grid upgrades, establishing national targets, and promoting resilient supply chains.
