GM signs 15-year PPA for 180 MW of solar

General Motors has signed a 15-year PPA with Northstar Clean Energy to purchase electricity from a 180 MW solar project in Newport, Arkansas. The project will support GM's assembly plants in Michigan and Missouri, and is expected to generate enough electricity to power over 30,000 homes per year, helping GM in its sustainability goals. GM has sourcing agreements with 17 renewable energy projects across 11 states.
