GOW 2024: North Star to pioneer CTV-SOV hybrid

North Star will be the first to deploy the new service operation vessel (SOV), Midi-SOV, jointly developed by Chartwell Marine and Vard, in European, Asian, and US markets. The Midi-SOV addresses challenges in the offshore wind sector, providing enhanced comfort and workability while offering a cost-effective alternative to full-scale SOVs. It aims to complement existing fleets by enhancing project economics and improving access, especially in adverse weather conditions.
