Grenada seeks EOIs for grid-scale solar and storage project at airport

The energy regulator of Grenada is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for a solar or solar-plus-storage project at the Maurice Bishop International Airport in Grenada. This project, named the Grenada Renewable Energy Project, aims to achieve 100% renewable energy in the electricity and transport sectors by 2030. The project involves building and operating a standalone solar PV plant or a solar-plus-storage plant with battery energy storage system, integrating into Grenada Electricity Services Limited's grid, and enabling the airport to act as a microgrid during outage situations.
