Hamburg 2024: Sany launches 8MW turbines for Europe

Chinese wind turbine maker Sany has launched two 8MW onshore models designed for European wind conditions. The 7.8MW SI-17578 and the 8MW SI-18580 models are tailored to the region's energy needs and designed to meet industry standards. These large-megawatt turbines promise greater efficiency and increased profitability. The 7.8MW model has a 175-metre rotor diameter, and the 8MW model has 185 metres. Sany's 140 metre hybrid tower, part of its 919 platform for 10MW turbines, will be presented for Design Evaluation Conformity Statement by TUV NORD.
