HighPeak Energy adds 9.9-MW solar farm to its Texas operations

US independent oil-and-gas company HighPeak Energy Inc (NASDAQ:HPK) has commissioned a 9.9-MW solar farm, WildHorse Solar Farm at its Flat Top operating area in Texas. Priority Power Management developed the project and owns/operates the plant, supplying power to HighPeak. HighPeak's President Mike Hollis emphasized the fiscal and environmental benefits, highlighting reduced power costs, shielding from price spikes, and carbon footprint reduction. Priority Power's CEO Brandon Schwertner foresees significant increases in Texas power prices, mentioning a USD 100 million rise in the value of 100 megawatts over a decade.
