Hive Energy secures grid connection permit for 215.6 MW of solar projects in Serbia

UK-based renewables developer Hive Energy has secured grid connections for four projects in Serbia totaling 216.5 MW. The projects include 50 MW Pirot, 40 MW Prokuplje, Veliko Gradiste I 71.5MW, and Veliko Gradiste II 55MW. Each project will have accompanying battery energy storage systems. Serbia deployed 137 MW of solar by end of 2023. Serbian government launched second renewables auction and signed MoU for a 200 MW solar power plant with Chinese company. Hive Energy plans to build a solar-driven hydrogen hub in Spain.
