Hy2gen secures hydro power supply for Quebec green ammonia project

Hy2gen Canada Inc, a unit of German hydrogen plants developer Hy2gen AG, has been awarded renewable electricity supply for its Courant green hydrogen and green ammonia project in Baie-Comeau, Quebec. The project aims to produce 237,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year and is expected to start construction in the second half of 2026, with first green ammonia production in 2029.
