Hybrid system combining CPV, ionic thermocells achieves 49.63% energy efficiency

A group of scientists at North China Electric Power University developed an innovative CPV-iTEC hybrid energy system that utilizes heat-to-electricity conversion and cooling potential of iTECs to improve performance and reduce costs compared to traditional TEG systems. The promising technology can greatly enhance power output, lower operational costs, and may be integrated into distributed cogeneration and concentrated photovoltaic power stations.
