Iberdrola secures FERC nod for USD-2.55bn buyout of Avangrid

Avangrid Inc, a US sustainable energy company, has been cleared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a USD 2.55 billion buyout by its largest shareholder, Spanish utility Iberdrola SA. The deal is set to close in the fourth quarter of 2024.
