Iberdrola to bag remaining Avangrid shares

Iberdrola agrees to acquire the minority stake in its US subsidiary Avangrid for US$35.75 per share, investing US$2.551bn. The company aims to increase exposure to networks and renewable energy business in the United States, targeting markets with strong credit ratings. The transaction is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
