Impact of NZIA on the Romanian oil and gas industry: Market interventions and CO2 injection obligations

The Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA) adopted by the EU Council will have significant interventions on the market and impose CO2 injection capacity obligations on oil and gas producers, impacting Romania's industry. Companies need to fulfill their contribution to CO2 injection capacity by 2030. Allocation of quotas may disadvantage large gas producers. The FPPG requests fair quota distribution for Romania as a major gas producer.
