Inch Cape transformers arrive in UK

Two 545megavolt amp transformers for the 1100MW Inch Cape offshore wind farm arrived at the Smulders yard in Wallsend, England, after a journey from Zagreb, Croatia, via Rotterdam, Netherlands. The transformers, the largest ever capacity offshore AC transformers built for a UK offshore wind farm, will be assembled and tested by the Siemens Energy team before installation.
