India clears 2.5 GW of new pumped storage by JSW, Tata Power

The Central Electricity Authority in India has authorized the construction of two pumped storage hydropower facilities with a combined capacity of 2.5 GW to meet the growing demand for large-scale storage capacity. The projects are expected to provide over 15 GWh of storage capacity for the grid, with one project proposed by JSW Energy Ltd and the other by Tata Power Co Ltd.
